There is no way he can totally wipe his slate clean, he and his gang robbed and killed a totally innocent man. But between having the responsibility of the child and from talking to the homeless guy from the train station, I do think he did turn things around and I would say he was on his way to redeeming himself. At the end of the movie he was in a much better place, in my mind, than he was in the beginning.

It's not a brand new movie, it's a few years old. It won the award in 2006 along with many other different film festival awards in 2005 and 2006
